Well, yesterday I convinced my girlfriend to go drag race her Civic… after a couple passes she got it down pat and made some really good passes even beating the series points leader in the 1st round. She’s hooked and plans on being there for the next day of racing :)

Now to get the actual race car running.

Yeah, it’s that time of year where one needs to register for classes. My academic motivation has been sort of lack luster in past years, but I’m getting antsy to finish my degree with only 9 classes to go. I registered today and my forth year standing means I pretty meant every class I registered for, I got into. It’s certainly going to be a fall without much sleep, but it means I can apply for my business minor in January.

My fall classes:

  • COM240, Management Finance
  • COM270, Financial & Management Accounting for Specialists.
  • ENT402, Entrepreneurship and Small Business For The Non-Specialist

My spring classes:

  • SENG321, Requirements Engineering and Formal Specifications
  • COM341, Operations Management (hopefully, it’s restricted to Commerce students, fingers crossed)
  • CSC464, Concurrency (taught my by my old research adviser, she’s crazy so the class should be quite interesting.)

It’s been many years since I attempted taking three classes and working full time. I’m not going to sleep much and it’ll be a busy Fall at TSS too. If all goes well, I’ll take CSC450 (Computer Networks, yawn) in the Summer term, two 400-level business classes in the fall and I’ll have my BSc degree majoring in Computer Science with Systems emphasis and a Business Minor and it’ll only have taken me six and a half years, five of which, I was working full time at TSS.

Damn rain…

Well I was hoping to make the trek to Mission Raceway Park this weekend, but a not so good looking forecast seems to have rained on those plans. Instead, Zensport has invited me to display the car at their tent at the Victoria International Autoshow. I’m not a big fan of the show scene but they’re good chaps and have helped me out a bunch over the years. Despite all of the cars bugs and inability to make power, it sure looks fast :D

Chris and I will be attending OLS this year (June 27-30th), it’s always a fun, informative time.

We’ll be doing a small PS3 cluster demo (what we’re demo’ing I have no idea) and I’ll be speaking about Linux on the PS3 at the Linux on Power BoF. The actual content is still TBD (Give me ideas!)

I swear neither of us bite that hard, so come say “Hi” if you’ll be attending, we always like to meet our users.
